| Approximately 21% of the air we breathe is made up of oxygen. Through normal breathing our bodies transfer oxygen to the blood where it is carried to all vital organs. In emergency situations, ill or injured people will use the body’s supply of oxygen at a faster rate. Oxygen is often administered to emergency victims to prevent complications. |
