Defibrillation was developed in the early 1950's to save the lives of heart attack patients in medical facilities. Today AED (Automated External Defibrillation) devices are found in malls, fitness clubs and airports. Many local governments are starting to require them by law.

AUTOMATED EXTERNAL
DEFIBRILLATION:
Teaches participants correct AED procedures and precautions. Available as an “Add-on” class only.
Full-Length Class Time:
Adds 1.5 hours to any CPR class
Prerequisites: Taken as an add-on to other CPR classes (see sign-up form)
Certification: ARC (1 year) or AHA (2 years)
Tests: Written & Skill
